How We Support (Methods / Pathways)
Nourishment foundationSupport structure through consistent daily nourishment.
Keep basic nourishment easy to repeat on ordinary and busy days. Stock a few familiar foods or meal components, protect regular opportunities to eat, and use simple preparation so support does not depend on having extra time, motivation, or a perfect menu. Keep “Nourishment foundation” proportionate to the rest of the Structural Nourishment routine and simplify it if it becomes hard to repeat.
Movement mechanicsUse controlled movement rather than rushing.
Slow down enough to make everyday movement controlled and comfortable, especially when lifting, carrying, standing up, or changing direction. Use manageable loads and stable positions, and prioritise smooth repeatable movement over rushing through the task. On the Structural Nourishment pathway, “Movement mechanics” works best as a repeatable cue rather than a performance target.
Posture breakInterrupt long static positions during the day.
Change position before one posture becomes the whole day. Stand, move the chair, place both feet differently, or reset the screen and shoulders for the next block; variety is more useful here than trying to hold one ‘perfect’ position for hours. On the Structural Nourishment pathway, “Posture break” works best as a repeatable cue rather than a performance target.
Recovery supportLet structure-supporting routines include rest.
Include recovery as part of the routine instead of viewing it as what happens only after everything else is finished. Alternate demanding movement or long static periods with easier activity, comfortable rest, and ordinary nourishment so the structure of the week includes both effort and restoration. Use “Recovery support” as a practical part of Structural Nourishment, not as another obligation that has to be completed perfectly.
Consistency cueRepeat a few simple supports across the week.
Choose one visible cue that reminds you of the small set of supports you want to repeat across the week. Keep the cue attached to an existing routine—such as breakfast, work start, or evening care—so consistency depends less on remembering from scratch. For Structural Nourishment, the useful version of “Consistency cue” is the one that still works on an ordinary busy day.
